This recipe has honestly become one of my absolute favorites because it’s so simple, refreshing, and actually makes me feel good from the inside out. I love how it only takes a few ingredients, but still tastes like something really special and nourishing at the same time.
What I enjoy most is that it fits so easily into my daily routine. It doesn’t feel like effort or something I have to force myself to do — it’s something I genuinely look forward to, especially because it tastes so fresh, light, and naturally sweet.
It’s one of those recipes that just makes sense to try. If you’re looking for something easy, healthy, and refreshing that you can actually stick to, this is definitely something you’ll want to make yourself.
Ingredients:
- 500 ml water
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 100 g fresh raspberries
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 2 tsp honey
- 5 fresh mint leaves
- 4 ice cubes

Step 1: I prepare the raspberry lemon base
I start by adding the fresh raspberries into a large glass or jar.
Then I take a fork and gently mash them until they become soft and release their juice.
I don’t rush this step, because I want the raspberries to really open up and give the drink that deep, natural color and flavor.
I don’t make it completely smooth on purpose, because I like having a bit of texture in my drink.
Once I’m happy with the consistency, I pour in the water and add the fresh lemon juice.
Then I slowly stir everything together until the water turns into a soft pink-red color and the flavors are nicely combined.

Step 2: I add the chia seeds and sweeten it
Next, I add the chia seeds directly into the glass.
I take my time to stir really well for about a minute, making sure the seeds don’t stick together or settle at the bottom.
This step is important to me because I want the chia seeds to be evenly distributed right from the beginning.
After that, I add the honey and continue stirring until it fully dissolves into the drink.
I make sure there are no thick spots left, so the sweetness is balanced throughout the whole glass.

Step 3: I let it rest and finish it fresh
Now I let the drink sit for about 10 to 15 minutes.
During this time, the chia seeds slowly absorb the liquid and develop that soft, slightly gel-like texture that makes the drink feel so refreshing.
I usually give it another quick stir once or twice while it’s resting to keep everything evenly mixed.
When it’s ready, I add the fresh mint leaves and the ice cubes. Then I give it one last gentle stir, and it’s ready to enjoy — cold, fresh, and perfectly balanced.

What benefits did I personally notice after drinking this regularly?
The biggest change was digestion. Feeling bloated used to be quite common, especially on busy days, but that noticeably improved after just a few days. Everything simply felt lighter and more balanced.
Another clear difference was energy levels. Instead of experiencing those typical afternoon crashes with low focus and tiredness, energy stayed much more stable throughout the day.
One moment that really stood out was a busy morning without time for breakfast. Normally, that would lead to feeling hungry and unfocused very quickly. After drinking this, there was a surprising sense of fullness and steady energy, making it much easier to stay productive without immediately reaching for snacks.
It’s such a simple habit, but it genuinely changed how the body feels on a daily basis.
When is the best time to drink this for the biggest effect?
The best time is honestly in the morning, especially on an empty stomach. That’s when the body can absorb everything the most efficiently, and it helps to gently wake up digestion and hydration right at the start of the day.
I personally drink it first thing in the morning, before I have coffee or breakfast. It’s become part of my routine — I prepare it, let it sit for a few minutes, and then drink it slowly. I’ve noticed that this helps me feel more refreshed, less bloated, and more balanced throughout the day.
Sometimes, on really busy days, I’ll also have it in the afternoon instead of reaching for something sugary. But if I want the strongest effect, mornings definitely work best for me.
I absolutely love the taste of this drink. It’s the perfect balance between fresh, slightly tangy and naturally sweet. The raspberries give it that soft fruity flavor, the lemon adds a light refreshing kick, and the honey rounds everything off in such a smooth way. It never feels too heavy or too sugary — just clean, light, and really refreshing.
What I enjoy most is how easy it is to make while still feeling like I’m doing something genuinely good for my body. It’s become one of those small daily habits that I actually look forward to, especially because it tastes so good and makes me feel so balanced at the same time.
