There was a time when I constantly struggled with cravings, especially for chocolate and sweet snacks, and it honestly made it so much harder to stay consistent. That’s exactly why I started making this recipe, and it has helped me so much. It feels rich, creamy, and really satisfying, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. Whenever I feel a craving coming, I make this instead, and it actually keeps me full and calm instead of wanting more right after. It’s become one of those simple habits that makes everything feel a lot easier 🤍🥤
Ingredients:
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup almond milk or oat milk
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1–2 ice cubes

Step 1
Start by cutting the avocado in half and removing the pit. Scoop out the flesh and add it to your blender. Then pour in the almond milk, add the cocoa powder, the maple syrup, and the ice cubes. If you want the flavor to be a little richer, this is also the perfect moment to add a small splash of vanilla extract and a tiny pinch of salt.

Step 2
Blend everything until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy. The avocado gives the drink a really soft and velvety texture, so I like to let it blend a little longer to make sure there are no small pieces left. If the smoothie feels too thick, just add a little more almond milk, one small splash at a time, until the consistency feels right for you.

Step 3
Once it looks smooth and rich, taste it and adjust it if needed. If you want it a little sweeter, you can add a touch more maple syrup or your preferred sweetener. Then blend again for a few seconds so everything is fully combined and the flavor is nice and balanced.

Step 4
Pour it into a glass and enjoy it right away while it is still cold and fresh. I personally love drinking it as a little sweet treat during the day, because it feels creamy and indulgent, but still much lighter than a regular chocolate drink.

For me, this is something I love making in the afternoon or in the evening, especially when I feel like I need something sweet but still want to stay on track. It’s perfect for those moments when cravings usually hit, because it feels like a real treat but keeps me satisfied in a much more balanced way.
What I really appreciate are the simple health benefits it brings. The avocado gives healthy fats that help keep me full longer, the cocoa adds that rich chocolate flavor while also providing antioxidants, and the whole combination feels nourishing without being heavy. It supports steady energy, helps me avoid overeating later, and just makes it easier to stick to a healthier routine overall.
It’s one of those recipes that feels indulgent, but actually works with your body instead of against it, and that’s exactly why I keep coming back to it 🤍🍫
