I’ll be honest — I used to struggle a lot with drinking enough water. Plain water just felt boring to me, and I would often reach for coffee or something sweet instead. It wasn’t until I started making simple infused water like this that things really changed for me.
There’s something about adding fresh ingredients that makes it feel more intentional, almost like a small act of self-care. It’s not just about hydration anymore — it’s about enjoying the process and actually wanting to drink it throughout the day.
This is one of my favorite combinations because it’s light, refreshing, and just a little bit special without being complicated. I often make it in the morning, put it in the fridge, and then sip on it during the day. It helps me stay on track without feeling like I’m forcing myself to do something healthy.
And honestly, sometimes it’s the smallest habits like this that make the biggest difference over time.
Ingredients (for 1 bottle – approx. 1 liter)
- 1 small cucumber (about 200–250 g), thinly sliced
- 6–8 strawberries, halved
- ¼ lemon, thinly sliced
- ½ lime, sliced
- 8–10 fresh mint leaves
- 4–6 thin ginger slices (about 5–10 g)
- 1 liter (34 oz) cold water
- Optional: a few ice cubes

Step 1: Wash and slice everything
Start by washing the cucumber, strawberries, lemon, lime, mint, and ginger really well.
Since the ingredients will sit directly in your water, this step matters.
Slice the cucumber into thin rounds, cut the strawberries in half, slice the lemon and lime, and cut the ginger into thin pieces so the flavor can slowly infuse into the water.

Step 2: Fill your bottle with the fresh ingredients
Take a clean 1-liter bottle and gently add the cucumber slices, strawberries, lemon, lime, mint leaves, and ginger.
Try not to press everything in too tightly — the water needs a little space to move around so the flavors can blend nicely.

Step 3: Add cold water
Pour in about 1 liter of cold water until the bottle is full. If you like it extra refreshing, you can add a few ice cubes too.
Close the bottle and gently turn it upside down once or twice to mix everything without crushing the fruit.

Step 4: Let it infuse
Place the bottle in the fridge for at least 1–2 hours. If you have more time, let it sit overnight — the flavor becomes much fresher and more noticeable.
The cucumber makes it light, the berries add a gentle sweetness, and the mint gives it that clean, refreshing feeling.

This detox water is one of those simple habits that can make a real difference in how you feel throughout the day. It’s not about “magic weight loss,” but about creating something that helps you stay consistent, hydrated, and a little more mindful.
The biggest benefit is hydration. Drinking enough water is essential, and this makes it so much easier because it actually tastes fresh and enjoyable. Instead of reaching for sugary drinks, you naturally choose something that supports your body.
It’s also very low in calories, which means you can drink it freely without worrying about it affecting your progress. At the same time, the ingredients like lemon, ginger, and mint give it a light, refreshing flavor that can help reduce cravings for sweets.
Another nice benefit is how light and clean it feels. The combination of cucumber and mint is soothing, while the citrus and ginger add a gentle kick that makes it feel more interesting than plain water.
And maybe most importantly, it’s just easy. No complicated steps, no expensive ingredients — just a small daily habit that supports a healthier lifestyle in a very natural way.
