This is one of those simple drinks I like to make when I want to feel a little lighter, fresher, and more in tune with my body. It’s not about anything extreme — just a gentle, nourishing blend of ingredients that support you in a natural way. I love how clean and refreshing it tastes, with a slight tang from the lemon, a bit of warmth from the ginger, and that soft, green freshness from the vegetables. It’s easy, calming to prepare, and feels like a small act of care for yourself.
Ingredients (Improved Version):
- 1/2 lemon (juiced)
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 inch of fresh ginger
- 300–400 ml water or coconut water
- 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
- Optional: 1/4 apple or a few pieces of pineapple

Step 1:
Begin by preparing your ingredients slowly and mindfully, so everything feels fresh and clean from the start. Wash the cucumber, celery, and spinach thoroughly under cold water, then gently pat them dry. Cut the cucumber into smaller chunks so it blends more easily, and slice the celery into a few pieces as well. Peel a small piece of fresh ginger and cut it into thin slices. Finally, squeeze the juice from half a lemon, making sure to remove any seeds. Taking your time with this step makes the whole process feel calm and intentional.

Step 2:
Now place all the prepared ingredients into your blender. Start with the cucumber, celery, spinach, and ginger, then pour in the fresh lemon juice. Add the water or coconut water, depending on whether you want a very light and refreshing drink or something slightly smoother and naturally sweeter. If you like a more balanced flavor, this is the moment to add a few pieces of apple or pineapple, which will soften the green taste without overpowering it.

Step 3:
Blend everything together until the mixture becomes completely smooth and evenly combined. This usually takes around 30 seconds to one minute, depending on your blender. You’ll notice that the drink has a slightly thick, natural texture because of the fiber from the vegetables, which is exactly what makes it so nourishing and satisfying. The color should turn into a fresh, vibrant green that already looks incredibly refreshing.

Step 4:
If you prefer a lighter, more delicate consistency, you can gently pour the mixture through a fine sieve into a glass or a small pitcher. Use a spoon to softly press the liquid through, allowing the juice to separate from the thicker pulp. This step makes the drink feel more like a smooth, hydrating juice rather than a smoothie, but it’s completely up to your personal preference.

Step 5:
Finally, pour your drink into a glass and enjoy it fresh, ideally right after preparing it. At this moment, the flavors are at their brightest — light, clean, slightly tangy, and beautifully refreshing. It’s one of those simple drinks that feels really gentle on your body while still giving you a small moment of care just for yourself.
